Ignazio Silone

Original drawing of the jail based in Procida created by the polish painter Jósef Czapski. Here, on the 27th of October 1932, died Romolo Tranquilli, younger brother of Ignazio Silone. The writer kept this drawing hanging in his bedroom.

On the 15th and 16th of December 2017  a study meeting on the recollections and representations of the Russian Revolution of October 1917 took place. Italian and foreign scholars from a variety of disciplines took part in the meeting and the proceedings will be published around the Spring of 2018.

The exhibit Sandro Pertini combattente per la libertà, inaugurated the 17th of November at the Vecchio Municipio in Piazza Lo Sardo in Naso (Messina), will continue until 24 December 2017.
